Blue Vervain is an extremely bitter North American Herb widely used as a sedative, antispasmodic, and relaxant. Its bitter tonic properties increases digestive function and stimulate gastric secretions. It is used for sore throats and respiratory tract disorders such as asthma. Blue Vervain has an affinity for females and can be helpful in menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes and nervous tension. As a galactagogue Blue Vervain helps to promote the production of breast milk.
