Butchers Broom Root is a great medicinal herb to be used in cases of chronic venous insufficiency and heaviness in the legs. It is helpful in cases of hemorrhoids and burning and itching of the legs. The name comes from old Europe when butchers would bundle the shrub into a broom and sweep/cleanse their cutting blocks, due to the stiffness of the material.
