Cat’s Claw Bark {Uncaria tomentosa}

Cat’s Claw Bark is primarily used as an anti-inflammatory, contraceptive, and anti-cancer remedy. It contains Oxindole alkaloids which have shown evidence of immune supporting activity making it great for viral infections such as HIV. Cat’s Claw root should not be used as the medicinal qualities are most prevalent in the inner bark and harvesting the root kills the plant. Peruvian law is now in place to help protect Uncaria tomentosa.*
