Meadowsweet Herb {Filipendula ulmaria}

Meadowsweet contains salicylic acid which is why it has anti rheumatic and anti inflammatory effects. Meadowsweet can bring down a fever and protects the inner lining of the stomach so it is used in cases of diarrhea and stomach upset. It contains high levels of tannins which tighten the membranes and it is used to heal ulcers.
